Jaxsons Train of Hope 6th Annual Poker Run & Car Show

This year is our 2nd Car Show! We fundraise for the National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases. They fund research on all levels and facilitate the steps towards clinical trials. They also educate families and the public to promote healthy families through genetic screening. Our son, Jaxson, has this fatal disease and there is no cure. His life expectancy is based on the onset of Tay-Sachs. We found out when he was four that he has this terrible disease. He is going to be 12 a few days after our fundraiser this year. this is going to be our 6th fundraiser here in San Diego. He has seizures and even after multiple leg surgeries we try and keep him walking with lots of physical therapy and he now has a G-Tube to help with medicines but as with this disease he will ultimately loose this ability. He’s a tough dude though… We have a website where you can find out more about the disease and past fundraisers that we have done. Food, vendors, etc. Join us for a day of hope, help, and fun on September 27th as we host the 6th annual Jaxson's Train of Hope event and celebrate Jaxson's birthday. This special day is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the National Tay-Sachs & Allied Diseases Association (NTSAD), an organization leading the fight against Tay-Sachs, Canavan, GM1, and Sandhoff diseases. NTSAD is committed to driving research, fostering community, and supporting families affected by these rare genetic disorders. $20, includes lunch & poker card too
